Maple’s Securities Finance Group is an active participant in global securities borrowing and financing markets from our offices in Jersey City, Toronto, London and Frankfurt. Acting as principal, the group plays an integral part in all proprietary trading strategies and structured product offerings by providing full borrowing, financing and collateral management capabilities to Maple’s businesses worldwide.

The Securities Finance team has acknowledged expertise in all aspects of its field along with an outstanding reputation among its counterparties around the world. Its staff is known for its highly professional, flexible and innovative approach to its business dealings.

The group provides three core areas of service:

Borrowing. The group meets existing requirements of Maple’s businesses while promoting the overall growth of the enterprise with a variety of new strategies.

Financing. Access to a wholesale cost of funds, combined with Maple’s ability to evaluate asset quality from both a credit and trading perspective, enables the group to create different and competitively priced financing structures.

Collateral Management. Effective collateral management eliminates unnecessary financing transactions while providing additional opportunities to generate income.
